A Fish Called Avalon - Miami Beach Dining

South Beach Dining

Guests of the South Seas Hotel are encouraged to visit A Fish Called Avalon, the signature restaurant at our sister property, the Avalon Hotel, and a South Beach dining institution for over 28 years.

Fresh seafood in a vibrant South Beach setting

A Fish Called Avalon has been a cherished South Beach favorite for over 28 years. The high percentage of Miami Beach locals enjoying the intimate dining room on any given night is the first sign that this award-winning restaurant is no flash in the pan.

Tucked into the Art Deco lobby of the Avalon Hotel, with a breezy terrace set above the famed Ocean Drive, A Fish Called Avalon showcases contemporary tropical cuisine, with the freshest ingredients harvested from sea and land. Seafood standards and creative nightly specialties are crafted under the watchful eye of Executive Chef Kal Abdalla – renowned for his deft touch with tropical textures and flavors.

With a selection to complement any dish, the wine list offers an extensive array of vintages, while the full bar serves up a seemingly limitless choice of expertly mixed cocktails – starting with A Fish Called Avalon’s legendary mojito. Guests who dine on the terrace enjoy live Latin-Caribbean performers who add a relaxing musical vibe to an evening of memorable cuisine and people-watching along Ocean Drive.

Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 1-305-532-1727 or by visiting the OpenTable Online Reservations System.

Parking

Valet parking is offered for a $20 fee Sunday to Thursday, a $25 fee Friday and Saturday, and "Ramp" parking will be charged at $30.
