Step outside the South Seas Hotel in south beach Florida and you’ll find yourself dipping your toes in the sand of one of the most beautiful – and famous – beaches in the world: Miami Beach.
Spend the day splashing in the warm Atlantic surf. Catch up on your favorite book. Or drop your towel in the sand and do absolutely nothing at all. The wide, sandy stretch of beach behind the hotel is within walking distance of a multitude of shops, sidewalk cafés and restaurants. There are plenty of cabanas for rent and a 1.6-mile path for strolling, running, bicycling and in-line skating.
Miami Beach Boardwalk
Extending from 25th Street down to 5th Street, the South Beach section of the Miami Beach Boardwalk manages to incorporate South Beach’s signature Art Deco architecture. Just steps from the ocean, the boardwalk is ideal for walking, jogging or biking. There are also several nearby cafes where you can stop for a snack, refreshments and a little people watching.
Beach Activities
If you’d like to enjoy the sun, sand and Atlantic surf, rent a beach chair and umbrella and hit the beach in style. There are lifeguards and a beach patrol on duty. But South Beach is more than just a collection of sun bathing beauties. Try your hand at surfing, kite boarding, windsurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, jet skiing, parasailing or boating.
